Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival Oct 13 and 14
CA Route 1 will be jam packed for these two events. Every year I try to blast an email to the local TV Stations asking that they tell people how to take SamTrans 110 from Daly City or 112 from Colma to Pacifica or the 294 from the Hillsdale BART/Caltrain station to Half Moon Bay instead of driving. They never announce. This is the list I send to. Any other ideas on how to get the word out?

Elections Nov 6 – more to come
- Three positions up for election on the Pacifica City Council and 7 people running
- Three positions up for election on the Half Moon Bay City Council and 5 people running
- Measure W – 1/2 % sales tax increase in San Mateo County. Currently San Mateo residents pay 1% sales tax for transportation. This measure would up it to 1 and 1/2 %. Note that SamTrans pitched this sales tax when they proposed extending the 118 from Half Moon Bay to BART hourly (among other things). Our coast communities comprise about 8% of the San Mateo population; however, SamTrans budgets 6.5% of their dollars to the coast. Thoughts?
